The shameful shift of children suffering from emotional disorders from the mental health system to the juvenile justice system.

For the past several years MACED has assisted with cases of children with mental illness charged with criminal offences.

MACED is currently developing an advocacy project in honor of the late Harry J. Nederlander.

The Association is always looking for new ways to improve the mental healthcare system for children and we welcome your suggestions for new programs.

Volunteers needed for holiday card drive

The Association needs volunteers to assist with the Holiday Card Drive: mailings; selling; promotion, etc. MACED has offered holiday cards to supporters for 43 consecutive years, most are created and designed by children, very often by children with emotional disorders. The cards are an expression of the Association’s belief in the creativity that lies within all children. The card drive is an important fundraising event and opportunity to inform the public of our work. Please consider volunteering for the card drive.
